Overview

Kidzly ("we", "us", "our") provides parental control software accessible at kidzly.online. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our application and website. By using Kidzly, you agree to the practices described in this document.

What We Collect

Account Information

When you create a parent account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We do not store plain-text passwords.

Device Activity Data

Kidzly collects the following data from the child's device (with parental consent):

  • App usage duration and frequency by application name
  • GPS location coordinates and timestamps
  • Web browsing history (domain names only, not page content)
  • Device online/offline status

Technical Data

We may automatically collect device type, operating system version, app version, and error logs for debugging purposes. We do not collect message content, photos, audio, or the content of communications.

How We Use Data

We use the collected data to:

  • Provide the parental monitoring features described in the application
  • Send alerts and notifications to the parent account
  • Improve the reliability and accuracy of our service
  • Respond to support requests

We do not use family data for advertising, marketing profiling, or any purpose beyond providing the service.

Sharing Data

We do not sell, trade, or rent personal information to third parties. We may share data with service providers who assist in operating our infrastructure (hosting, error logging) under strict data processing agreements. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the safety of children.

Data Retention

Activity logs (location, app usage) are retained for up to 30 days by default. Account data is retained until you delete your account. You may request deletion of specific records at any time.

Security

We use Transport Layer Security (TLS) to encrypt all data in transit. Data at rest is encrypted using industry-standard encryption. Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel only. See our Security page for more information.

Children's Privacy

Kidzly is designed for use by parents to monitor their own minor children. The child's data is collected under the authority of the parent account holder. We do not knowingly allow children to create their own Kidzly accounts. If you believe a child has created an account without parental consent, please contact us immediately.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@kidzly.online. We will respond within 30 days.
