Yes. Kidzly is distributed directly as an APK file from kidzly.online. You do not need the Google Play Store. You will need to enable "Install from unknown sources" in your Android settings — our installation guide covers this step by step.
Kidzly supports Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) and above. This covers the vast majority of Android devices currently in use. An iOS version is planned for a future release.
Kidzly uses Android device administration permissions to prevent unauthorised uninstallation. The parent PIN is required to disable or remove the app. We recommend also enabling the Device Administrator mode during setup for the strongest protection.
Kidzly offers a free plan with core features including screen time, app blocking, and location. Additional advanced features such as extended history and multiple child profiles may require a subscription in a future update. Current APK releases are free.
Kidzly focuses on app usage, screen time, location, and web filtering. It does not read the content of private messages or social media posts. We believe in respecting children's privacy while keeping them safe from harm.
